RADICAL COMMUNITY CARE IN THE PHOENIX VALLEY

We are a community-led organization dedicated to supporting and empowering our neighbors in times of need.

Our network is made up of volunteers who are committed to building a more just and equitable society. We provide practical and emotional support to those who are struggling, whether it’s through community fridges, advocacy, or simply a listening ear.

We believe that mutual aid is an essential part of creating a healthy, vibrant community. By coming together and supporting each other, we can create real, lasting change.

If you’re interested in getting involved, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We would love to have you join us in building a stronger, more connected Phoenix community. Together, we can make a difference.

Here’s what some of our friends have been sharing with the community through Radical Community Care

What is Mutual Aid?

Mutual aid is a voluntary, reciprocal exchange of resources and services for the benefit of all involved. It is based on the idea that individuals and communities are capable of taking care of themselves and each other, rather than relying solely on top-down, state-controlled aid or charity.

Mutual aid can take many forms, from informal networks of friends and neighbors helping each other out, to more organized groups that provide specific services or resources to those in need. It can involve sharing skills and knowledge, providing physical or emotional support, or pooling resources to meet common needs.

The goal of mutual aid is to create more resilient, self-sufficient communities that are able to weather challenges and support their members through difficult times. It can be an effective way to address issues such as poverty, inequality, and social isolation, and can foster a sense of belonging and connection within a community.
